During the 30-hour "Easter ceasefire" declared by Russia, the Russian army conducted three consecutive drone strikes using FVP drones near the vehicle of volunteer Yevhen Tkachenko, who was evacuating civilians from the frontline village of Zorya in Donetsk. Zorya is located south of Kostiantynivka, along the Donetsk road.

Direct quote from Tkachenko: "Taking advantage of the "Easter ceasefire," I was trying to evacuate elderly people from frontline Zorya and accompany two families from the same village who were leaving on their own. I left first, followed by two vehicles, and we had white ribbons indicating that we were civilians. About 50 meters from the exit to the Donetsk road, I saw a drone, turned on the hazard lights, got out of the car, and started waving my arms to show that I was a civilian. Despite that, the drone struck just half a meter from my vehicle. I signaled the two cars behind me to pass, but I couldn't leave as my car wouldn't start (the shelling also damaged the tires). We moved into the bushes with the two evacuees in my car.
Then the second FPV drone flew around us several times and "struck" just a couple of meters away from the people! One woman suffered shrapnel wounds to her buttocks.
We called (the police, acquaintances), asking for help, but no one came. Later, I saw the third FPV drone finishing off the vehicle.
We were saved by the heroic chaplain Oleksandr Reshetnik, with whom we were in captivity in Sloviansk in 2014. Interestingly, the car that was destroyed by the Russians was also with me in captivity in 2014. It's my wife's car.
Details: The injured civilian woman and the man, who fortunately was unharmed, were handed over to medics by Yevhen Tkachenko.
Background:
- On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the "Easter ceasefire," which supposedly entails a halt to all hostilities in Ukraine from the evening of April 19 to midnight on April 21. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the occupiers would adhere to the ceasefire regime if it was mutually respected by Kyiv.
- According to the monitoring project DeepState, military forces hardly felt the so-called "Easter ceasefire" that the Russians promised on any front.
