At around 5 AM, a Shahed-type drone struck a confectionery factory in Sumy, causing severe damage to the production of holiday cakes. As a result of the attack, a businessman who arrived to collect festive products lost his life.

Mykhailo Melnyk stated: "The enemy launched the strike around 5 AM, damaging the confectionery production. The tragedy claimed the life of an entrepreneur."
Additionally, a worker from the factory sought medical assistance.
Emergency services reported that the deceased was recovered from the rubble.
Part of the building of the civil infrastructure was severely damaged.
