Drone Attack on Medics in Kherson

A Russian drone struck an ambulance in Kherson, injuring medical personnel.

On the morning of April 17, a Russian drone targeted an ambulance in the Dnipro district of Kherson, injuring a 65-year-old paramedic and a 61-year-old driver. Both men sustained serious explosive and shrapnel injuries.

Reportedly: Around 07:40, Russian forces attacked the ambulance in Kherson's Dnipro district.

According to regional military officials, as a result of the drone strike, the 65-year-old paramedic suffered explosive and shrapnel wounds to his limbs, while the 61-year-old driver sustained head and pelvic injuries.

Both victims were hospitalized, with doctors providing necessary care. The vehicle sustained significant damage, with the front of the ambulance nearly destroyed.

Reminder:

  • On the morning of April 16, Russian forces shelled Kherson using aviation and artillery, resulting in one death and nine injuries, including a 15-year-old teenager. Additionally, 20 apartment buildings, two private homes, a sports facility, and two supermarkets were damaged.
  • When the head of the city military administration Roman Mrochko and rescue workers arrived at the strike site, they came under artillery fire as well.
