The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Georgiy Tikhiy criticized social media platform X for labeling posts regarding the deaths of Ukrainian children due to Russian shelling as ‘shocking content’.
He accused the platform of concealing the crimes committed by Russia.
“Seriously, X? Since when is the death of Ukrainian children considered ‘shocking content’? This is not about protecting users from disturbing images. This is about silencing the war crimes of Russia. It is disgraceful, and this decision must be revoked,” he wrote on social media.
Georgiy Tikhiy included a screenshot with his post to illustrate how the platform concealed a publication from the official MFA page.
The screenshot shows that social media X hid a post containing statistics about at least 616 Ukrainian children killed and 1869 injured since the full-scale invasion began.
