Air Defense Operation: Ukraine's Response

A summary of recent incidents in Ukraine's air defense and the neutralization of drones during an attack.

The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 157 out of 171 drones that were used to attack the country starting on the evening of February 1st. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 6 PM on Sunday, February 1st, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" at Ukraine, as well as 171 strike UAVs, including types such as Shahed, "Gerbera," and "Italmas" from various directions including Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. Approximately 100 of these drones were of the Shahed type.
The air force, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces effectively repelled the aerial assault.
Preliminary reports indicate that as of 09:00 on Monday, February 2nd, air defense had shot down 157 drones across the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Impacts from ballistic missiles and 12 strike UAVs were recorded at 8 locations.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones remaining in the airspace.
On February 1st, Russian troops attacked a DTEK miners' bus in the Pavlohrad district of Dnipropetrovsk region. According to DTEK Group, 16 people were injured, with nine in serious condition. At least 12 miners lost their lives.
