The air defense forces of Ukraine managed to neutralize 103 out of 146 drones used by the enemy to attack the country starting from the evening of January 27.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
Starting at 6:00 PM on January 27, the enemy launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" from the Rostov region, as well as 146 strike drones, including models like Shahed, "Herbera", "Italmas", and other types from directions: Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda, Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 90 of the drones were of the Shahed type.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM on January 28, preliminary data indicates that the air defense shot down 103 drones in the north, south, center, and east of Ukraine.
Hits of a ballistic missile and 36 strike drones were recorded at 22 locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the air.
As a result of the Russian drone attack in the Kyiv region on January 28, a woman and a man were killed, and four others, including two children, were injured.
