Ukraine is experiencing renewed large-scale attacks on its energy infrastructure, resulting in emergency power outages across several regions. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on Facebook.
"Russia has struck our energy system again. This has led us to implement emergency power outages in some areas," the official statement reads.
As soon as the security situation allows, rescuers and energy workers will begin the process of restoring electricity supply as quickly as possible to address the aftermath of the attacks.
Emergency outages will be lifted once the energy situation stabilizes.
The Ministry of Energy urges citizens to remain calm and to keep an eye on official updates.
Air raid alerts have been issued in the capital and across all regions of Ukraine due to the threat from Russian drones and missiles. The Kyiv region has also implemented emergency power outages.
