The Air Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 108 out of 160 drones launched by Russian forces. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Forces via Telegram.
Starting at 6:30 PM on December 18, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 160 strike UAVs, including Shahed and other types, from directions such as Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Bryansk, Millerovo (RF), and Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 90 of these were Shahed drones.
To repel the attack, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were deployed.
As of 8:00 AM on December 19, preliminary data indicated that air defense had shot down 108 enemy drones in southern and eastern Ukraine.
Hits from 47 strike UAVs were recorded at 23 locations.
The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace, as reported by the Air Forces.
As a result of yet another hostile attack in Odesa, critical infrastructure was damaged, and the shockwave also affected local housing.
