The air defense forces successfully neutralized 84 out of 110 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine in the evening. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Forces via Telegram.
Starting from 18:00 on Monday, December 8, the Russians launched 110 drones, including Shahed models, from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (RF), and the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyiske (Crimea). Approximately 70 of these were Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 09:00 on Tuesday, December 9, preliminary data indicates that the air defense shot down 84 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Hits were recorded on 24 drones at 9 locations.
The attack continues, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace.
Parts of Sumy and the Sumy region are without electricity due to the Russian massive strike on energy infrastructure.
