The head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, announced that the units of the "Clean Sky" project have shot down over 2100 enemy drones. He shared this information during a visit to the military personnel who protect the airspace over the Kyiv region.

Kalashnyk, accompanied by Deputy Ruslan Oliinyk, visited the fighters participating in the project and working in mobile drone counteraction groups. He emphasized that on the eve of Ukraine's Armed Forces Day, he had the honor to personally thank the military for their dedication and professionalism.

«I expressed my gratitude for the daily risks they take for our safety», – said the regional head.

During the visit, the leadership of the Regional State Administration toured command posts and positions where soldiers were preparing for their next combat duty. According to Kalashnyk, these mobile groups are the first to respond to aerial threats.

He pointed out that the «Clean Sky» is a unique technology for Ukraine that intercepts drones. He stated that the system works «quickly, accurately, and effectively».

Kalashnyk highlighted that the project originated in the Kyiv region but has already been expanded to other areas of the country. Together with the military and communities, a unique tactic for countering aerial threats has been developed.

«Every downed aerial target means saved lives and preserved infrastructure», – he noted.

The regional head also assured that support for these units will continue – through subsidies and attracting partners to provide equipment, supplies, and resources.

«It is thanks to these people that we can live, work, and build our future», – emphasized Kalashnyk, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the military.
