The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully neutralized 83 out of 111 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine on the evening of December 2. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 6 PM on December 2, the enemy launched 111 strike UAVs, including Shahed types, "Gerbera," and others, from various directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chayda (occupied Crimea). Over 60 of these were Shahed drones.
Air defense units, electronic warfare forces, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces participated in repelling the aerial assault.
As of 8 AM on December 3, the air defense had shot down or suppressed 83 drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Impacts from 27 strike UAVs were recorded at 13 locations, with debris falling at one site. The most damage was done to civilian infrastructure and private homes in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. There are casualties among the civilian population.
