In the night of November 28, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Saratov oil refinery and drone storage facilities at the «Saki» airfield in occupied Crimea.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to military sources, after a series of explosions, a fire was observed in the vicinity of the refinery. The assessment of the impact results is ongoing.
The General Staff emphasizes that the Saratov refinery plays a critical role in supplying the needs of the Russian military. This facility produces more than 20 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, fuel oil, diesel fuel, and technical sulfur.
At the «Saki» airfield, several air defense facilities were reportedly hit, including the «Pantsir-S1» and «Tor-M2» systems. After neutralizing the enemy's air defense assets, they managed to destroy a hangar that housed «Orion» and «Forpost» drones.
