Since the beginning of the day, 117 combat engagements have occurred on the frontline, with fighting continuing in six directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, providing operational details as of 16:00 on Sunday, November 23.
"The enemy has shelled residential areas in Mykolaivka, Mykhailchyna Sloboda in the Chernihiv region; Bila Berizka, Starykove, Kucheryvka, Shalyhyne in the Sumy region," the report states.
In the North-Slobyzhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy launched six attacks on Ukrainian defenders' positions, one engagement is ongoing, and an airstrike was carried out, using two guided bombs, alongside 60 shelling incidents targeting populated areas and Ukrainian units.
In the South-Slobyzhansky direction, the enemy attacked three times in the areas of Vovchansk and Synelnykove, with one engagement still ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, fighting continues near Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks in the regions of Novoyehorivka, Serednie, Zarichne, and towards the settlement of Novy Mir. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks, with another combat engagement continuing. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Yampil, Serebrianka, and Sakko and Vanzetti.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance in the area of Chasiv Yar since the start of the day.
In the Konstantinivka direction, the invaders carried out 24 offensive actions near Shcherbynivka, Rusynyi Yar, Yablunivka, Oleksandro-Shultyn, and towards Konstantinivka, Predtechyn, and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, throughout the day, the enemy attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions near Vodymyrivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Nikanorivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filia, and towards Novopavlivka on 42 occasions.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked 12 times in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Vorone, Oleksiivka, Verbove, Pryvillya, and Krasnohirske.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Zatyshia, Vysoke, and towards the settlement of Pryliuky. Additionally, enemy aviation struck populated areas such as Vozdvizhivka and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove, Stepnohirske, and Prymorske.
In the Dniprovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No significant changes in the situation have been recorded in other directions.
