On November 20, a Day of Mourning was declared in Transcarpathia and the Sumy city territorial community for those who lost their lives in Ternopil.
"On November 20, a Day of Mourning has been declared in Transcarpathia," - reported Mirослав Білецький, head of the Transcarpathian OVA on Facebook.
According to him, flags will be flown at half-mast across the region on Thursday. "I urge everyone to refrain from loud music and celebrations. Our region mourns together with the entire country. Sincere condolences to the families of the victims and those affected!" - added the head of the OVA.
Additionally, the Sumy City Council announced on Telegram that "in connection with the tragedy that occurred on November 19, 2025, as a result of a massive airstrike on the city of Ternopil, which claimed the lives of many civilians, a Day of Mourning has been declared in the Sumy city territorial community on November 20, 2025."
In the Ternopil community, November 19, 20, and 21 have been declared days of mourning for those who perished due to the combined Russian attack on the city.
On November 19, the Russian army struck an apartment building in Ternopil with a missile. 26 people died, and over a hundred were injured. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on the morning of November 20 that after the strike on Ternopil, 22 people are still unaccounted for – search efforts are ongoing.
