In the past week, Russia launched around 1000 drone strikes against Ukraine, along with nearly 980 guided aerial bombs and 36 missiles of various types. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on his Facebook page.
Currently, recovery operations are ongoing in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions following the Russian strikes. Rescue teams are also active in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
Zelensky emphasized that over 170 drones were launched at Ukraine last night, with at least half being “Shaheds”. Throughout the week, approximately 1000 drones, 980 bombs, and 36 missiles were used against our citizens.
He highlighted that each night requires a multi-layered air defense system, including anti-aircraft systems, combat aviation, mobile fire groups, and interceptor drones.
“We are actively collaborating with our partners to enhance Ukraine’s defense. We have prepared new strong agreements with Europe to significantly bolster our air defense, our resilience, and our diplomacy,” Zelensky noted.
