Members of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine successfully executed a drone strike against the Sterlitamak chemical plant located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. This information was shared by the GUR on Facebook.
The operation took place on November 6. The strike resulted in a fire at the facility where agidol – an additive for aviation fuel – is produced.
The intelligence agency notes that the Sterlitamak plant is one of the key enterprises in Russia's petrochemical industry, manufacturing products for the military and defense sector, including ionol, aviation gasoline, and synthetic polymers.
