The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces successfully destroyed a modern «BUK-M3» and struck the radar system «NEBO-U» used by Russian forces.
According to the SSO, on the night of September 28, Ukrainian special forces, in collaboration with the opposition movement in Russia «Black Spark», executed a series of special actions, resulting in the disabling of two critical elements of the enemy's air defense system.
In the Rostov region, the anti-aircraft missile system «BUK-M3» and the early warning radar «NEBO-U» have been turned into scrap metal.
Each of these systems is valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
The «BUK-M3» is capable of striking targets at a distance of up to 80 km, while the «NEBO-U» can detect aircraft at a range of up to 400 km.
As noted by the SSO, both systems posed a significant threat to the operations of Ukrainian combat aviation in the frontline zone and obstructed Ukrainian «deep strike» missions, but these specific systems will no longer be a concern.
