In Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, there are currently 1256 residents, and evacuation from the community is practically impossible. This was stated by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
"Currently, there are 1256 people in the city. Local residents cannot leave their shelters and go outside due to daily shelling by the enemy. We have seen how the Russian army shoots at elderly people who go out to charge their phones at the "invincibility point" or to get drinking water. Therefore, evacuation from the community is nearly impossible at this time," noted the head of the OVA.
He also mentioned a recent evacuation of six residents with animals from Pokrovsk, which was carried out by the fighters of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment "Skelia" over more than three days.
Filashkin urged residents of Donetsk Oblast to leave other cities close to the front line, particularly Kostiantynivka.
According to him, there are currently about 5274 people remaining in the Kostiantynivka community, with 5200 in the city itself. There is no access to qualified medical assistance, and gas, water, and electricity supplies are absent.
Overall, around 200,500 people remain in Donetsk, including over 13,000 children, 1100 with limited mobility, and 91,000 elderly individuals.
