The number of people harmed due to a Russian drone strike on a kindergarten and surrounding buildings in the Kharkiv Kholodnohirskiy district has risen to 9. One person has died. This was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES).
Damages include a store, a café, an office building, and 6 vehicles. Three fire outbreaks occurred, with the largest measuring 500 sq. m — in the kindergarten building. At the time of the attack, 48 children were in the shelter. Rescuers, along with police and volunteers, quickly evacuated them to safety.
Approximately 60 emergency responders, 13 SES vehicles, psychologists, bomb disposal experts, dog handlers, police officers, medical staff, volunteers, and municipal services were involved in addressing the consequences of the Russian attack.
Fires have been extinguished, and emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
