Details: The head of the UK government commented on the incident involving Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, stating that such occurrences are clearly undesirable.
He emphasized that during his meeting with the Ukrainian president and French president Emmanuel Macron, his main goal was to initiate dialogue and return to the core issue.
Starmer noted, "We have agreed that the UK, along with France and possibly one or two other countries, will work with Ukraine on a ceasefire plan that we will later discuss with the United States."
He urged not to lose sight of the primary goal – establishing lasting peace in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House early on February 28 after a dispute with Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance.
During his meeting with Zelensky on Saturday, Starmer assured that the UK will continue to support Ukraine "for as long as necessary" and is steadfastly determined to achieve sustainable peace.
