Strike on Key Russian Facilities: New Insights

Details of the strikes on the Korobkovsky gas processing plant and the Yefimovka LVD station in Volgograd region.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that on the night of October 9, Defense Forces struck the Korobkovsky gas processing plant and the Yefimovka linear production dispatch station in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the General Staff on Facebook.
The Korobkovsky gas processing plant, located in Kotovo, is one of the largest plants for the primary processing of natural gas in southern Russia, with an annual capacity of 450 million cubic meters of gas and 186 thousand tons of light hydrocarbons.
The Yefimovka LVD station services several main pipelines for oil transportation with an annual capacity of 50 million tons.
Explosions and fires have been reported at both facilities, and information about the aftermath is being clarified.
