Following a Russian attack on October 1, four residents of Balakliia sustained injuries and are currently hospitalized. This was reported by Vitaliy Karabanov, the head of the Balakliia military administration, on his Telegram channel.
"Twelve civilians were affected. Four were hospitalized, three diagnosed with acute stress reaction, including a child born in 2021. Five individuals were referred for outpatient care after receiving medical assistance," the post stated.
Karabanov also noted that an elderly woman, who had been injured during World War II, lost her life due to this incident.
"The 88-year-old Alla Mykolaivna, who survived World War II, could not endure this latest assault. She was injured as a child in 1941. Unfortunately, she did not survive this war," emphasized the city administrator.
He clarified that the missile strike hit the city center, near residential buildings, shops, a pharmacy, a café, and administrative buildings.
As previously reported, on October 1, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Balakliia in the Kharkiv region.
