The air defense forces neutralized 97 out of 115 drones that Russian invaders used to attack Ukraine starting on the evening of September 26. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
From 9 PM on Friday, September 26, Russian forces launched an attack using 115 strike UAVs of various types, including Shahed, from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea), with over 70 being Shahed drones.
The assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9 AM on Saturday, September 27, preliminary data shows that the air defense shot down or suppressed 97 UAVs across northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.
There were recorded hits on 17 strike drones at six locations, along with debris falling at two sites. The assault continues, with new groups of strike UAVs appearing in the north, the Air Forces warned.
