The air defense forces have successfully neutralized 132 out of 141 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine on the evening of September 21.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on their Telegram channel.
On the night of September 22 (from 21:00 September 21), the enemy launched an attack with 141 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Primorsk-Akhtarsk – RF, Chauda - TOT Crimea, with approximately 80 of them being Shaheds.
The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and drone systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 08:30, preliminary data indicates that the air defense has shot down/neutralized 132 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types across the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Nine strike UAVs have been recorded hitting 7 locations, alongside the debris falling in 8 locations. Furthermore, from 4 to 6 AM on September 22, the enemy carried out an airstrike on the infrastructure of the city of Zaporizhzhia. Launches of guided aerial bombs from tactical aviation aircraft were recorded from the area of the city of Tokmak – TOT Zaporizhia region. Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population.
