Since the beginning of the day, there have been 82 clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops. Fighting continues on six fronts, with the most intense activity noted in the Pokrovsk region.
This information was shared by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page as of 16:00 on Sunday, September 21.
It is noted that the defenders are holding their lines and exhausting Russian forces along the entire contact line.
The enemy's artillery has bombarded areas in Boyaro-Lezhachiv, Novovasylivka, Bobylivka, and various locations in Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk fronts, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks. Another battle is ongoing. The Russian army carried out seven airstrikes, dropped 17 guided bombs, and conducted 102 artillery shellings, including ten from multiple launch rocket systems.
On the South-Slobozhansky front, defenders have repelled two Russian attacks since the start of the day, with five more clashes occurring. The attackers are focusing their efforts near Vovchansk and towards Odradne.
On the Kupyansk front, defense forces successfully halted six offensive actions by the enemy in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, and Kupyansk.
On the Lyman front, there were 12 clashes near Hrekiivka, Novomykhailivka, Shandryholove, and other villages. Seven battles continue.
On the Seversk and Kramatorsk fronts, clashes have not yet commenced today.
On the Toretsky front, Russians attacked eight times in the areas of Pleschiivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, and Toretsk. Fighting is ongoing in two locations.
The Russian army struck Kostiantynivka with guided bombs.
On the Pokrovsk front, there have been 28 clashes of varying intensity near Pankivka, Nikanorivka, and other locations. One clash is still ongoing.
On the Novopavlivsk front, the invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Filia, Zelenyi Hai, and others. Three clashes are still ongoing.
On the Huliaipilske front, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Olhivske.
On the Orikhiv front, Russian troops attempted to advance four times towards the positions of the defense forces.
On the Dniprovsk front, Russian aviation struck at several localities.
