The Ukrainian Armed Forces executed drone strikes on oil refineries in the Russian Federation, specifically targeting the Saratov and Novokuybyshevsk refineries.

This information was shared by the General Staff of the UAF on Facebook.

During the night of September 20, drone units, in close cooperation with other defense forces, under the overall command of the General Staff, delivered precision strikes on the Saratov oil refinery located in Saratov.

This refinery accounts for approximately 2.54% of the total oil processing volume in Russia, processing over 7 million tons of oil annually.

Reports from the site confirm powerful explosions and extensive fires. Final assessments of the damage are still being clarified.

On the same day, the UAF drone units also struck the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region.

The Novokuybyshevsk refinery processes over 8.8 million tons of oil each year.

Preliminary information indicates that explosions and fires were also reported at this facility. Further details are being confirmed.

Additionally, UAF special operations units targeted a key infrastructure object, the Samara Linear Production Dispatch Station.

This station is responsible for mixing high and low sulfur oil from various fields to create the Urals export grade, which constitutes up to 50% of Russia's total oil exports.

Results of this strike are also being confirmed.

All targeted facilities are integral to supporting the Russian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are systematically implementing measures aimed at reducing the military-economic potential of the aggressor state, particularly by disrupting logistical capabilities in the oil refining sector.
