In the Poltava region, several trains are experiencing delays of up to 3 hours due to a power outage on multiple railway sections caused by a nighttime shelling incident. One individual has been injured as a result of the attack.
This information was shared by Ukrzaliznytsia and the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kogut, via Telegram.
According to the UZ statement: "Due to the nighttime shelling in Poltava and the temporary power outage in several areas of the region, reserve locomotives were deployed. Currently, several passenger trains are delayed by up to 3 hours:".
- №102 Kherson – Kramatorsk,
- №63/111 Kharkiv, Izyum – Lviv,
- №64/112 Lviv – Kharkiv, Izyum,
- 791 Kremenchuk – Kyiv".
As of 07:00, the damage was localized and power was restored.
"Trains (including suburban electric trains) will continue to operate normally," said Ukrzaliznytsia.
Volodymyr Kogut later reported that Russian forces attacked the railway infrastructure in the Myrhorod district during the night.
"As a result, fires broke out, which were localized by the State Emergency Service units. One person was injured," the head of the region noted.
