As a result of the full-scale invasion, 224 artists and 111 media professionals, both Ukrainian and foreign, have lost their lives in Ukraine.

The ministry emphasizes that these figures reflect not only the extent of the losses but also serve as a reminder of the tragic chapters in Ukrainian history. Just as the Stalinist regime obliterated a generation of Ukrainian artists in the 20-30s of the 20th century, today, Russia is deliberately targeting the cultural elite of Ukraine.

On the front lines, near the village of Yunakivka in the Sumy region, actor and serviceman Andriy Synishyn, known for his work in Lviv theaters, was killed.
