On September 12, a day of mourning was declared in the Sumy community for those who lost their lives due to attacks from the Russian Federation on the city of Sumy and the Bitytsky starosta.

This information was shared by the Sumy City Council via Telegram.

“Today, September 12, a day of mourning has been declared in the Sumy MTG for the victims of hostile attacks on Sumy and Bitytsky starosta,” the official message stated.

The city council noted that, as a sign of grief, national flags were lowered on administrative buildings and institutions.

All entertainment events were canceled, and the playing of music in commercial establishments, restaurants, and public transport was prohibited.

In the morning of September 12, Russian drones attacked the industrial zone on the outskirts of Sumy, and a missile strike was also carried out on the Bitytsky starosta. Currently, the deaths of three community residents have been confirmed.
