The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 386 drones and 27 missiles used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine on the evening of September 9.
This information was reported by the command of the Air Force on Telegram.
From 5 PM on September 9, Russian forces began their attacks on Ukraine using strike UAVs and missiles of various types.
Overall, the radio-technical troops of the Air Force escorted 458 air strikes:
- 415 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other drones from directions including Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chauda (occupied Crimea), with over 250 of them being Shahed type drones;
- 42 cruise/airborne missiles X-101, Kalibr, X-59 (69) from Saratov region and the Black Sea area;
- one ballistic missile Iskander-M/KN-23 from Voronezh region.
The Air Force, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's defense forces actively repelled the attacks.
As of 9 AM on September 10, preliminary data indicates that air defense shot down 413 aerial targets:
- 386 UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and others;
- 27 cruise/airborne missiles X-101, Kalibr, X-59 (69).
Preliminarily, 16 missiles and 21 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 17 locations.
At least eight enemy UAVs crossed the state border of Ukraine towards Poland.
