As of September 3, thanks to measures taken since August 27, no enemy drones have reached the M-14 highway Mykolaiv-Kherson. However, this does not indicate complete safety: military personnel reported attempts by the enemy to activate their drones in the area.
This was stated by Colonel Oleksandr Zavtonov, spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps.
"The situation on the M-14 Mykolaiv-Kherson highway is stable. Due to our measures since August 27, no enemy drone has reached its target", - noted the spokesperson.
However, he emphasized that this does not mean that the road is safe, as the enemy continues its terrorist intentions. Since the measures began on August 27, Ukrainian forces recorded two attempts by the enemy to activate their drones in the area. The identified threats were neutralized in time. This indicates the effectiveness of our countermeasures and ongoing work against enemy logistics.
Zavtonov also reported that over the past day, the enemy attempted to conduct assault actions in the Kherson direction three times. Russian occupiers used small group tactics, trying to approach Ukrainian positions. All these attempts were thwarted, with Ukrainian defenders successfully neutralizing the enemy.
According to the spokesperson, Ukrainian units continue to inflict losses on the Russian occupiers. Based on confirmed reports, the enemy lost 13 personnel within a day, along with 17 units of military equipment. Further losses are still being investigated.
The spokesperson emphasized that Ukrainian defenders maintain control of the situation in the Kherson direction, holding the defense and quickly responding to enemy assault attempts, inflicting significant losses on personnel and equipment.
Meanwhile, Russian propaganda is spreading maps that allegedly show the "annexation" of Kherson, Mykolaiv, and other regions.
"This has nothing to do with the actual situation", - the spokesperson remarked.
He pointed out that in the Kherson region, the enemy is unable to advance: all their assault attempts have been repelled, and their losses in personnel and equipment continue to rise. Therefore, as always, they attempt to "compensate" for this by attacking the civilian population.
Russian drone attacks complicate the situation on the Kherson-Mykolaiv highway, but logistics are functioning.
In the Kherson region, efforts to install anti-drone nets have been ongoing for nearly a year, reinforcing roadways with only those nets that have proven effective against both Russian UAV attacks and climatic changes.
