On the night of August 29 to 30, the enemy launched a massive strike on Ukrainian territories, employing attack drones as well as missiles of various origins.
This information was shared by the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Command on their official Telegram channel.
In total, during the strike, radio-technical troops detected and tracked 582 aerial objects:
- 537 Shahed-type UAVs and various imitator drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF);
- 8 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai (RF);
- 37 cruise/airborne missiles such as X-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, X-59, launched from the Saratov region, the Black Sea area, and temporarily occupied territories in Zaporizhzhia region.
The response to the air assault was provided by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense forces had shot down 548 aerial targets:
- 510 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type and various imitators;
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 32 cruise/airborne missiles X-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, X-59.
It was noted that 5 missiles and 24 attack drones impacted 7 locations, with debris recorded at 21 locations.
