Naval Tragedy: Losses in the Ukrainian Navy

Two crew members have died as a result of a Russian strike on a Ukrainian ship, with several others missing.

As a result of a Russian strike on a ship belonging to the Ukrainian Navy, two crew members have been confirmed dead, and several others are reported missing, stated spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.

This information was conveyed during a news marathon on the morning of August 29.

"Unfortunately, we are dealing with a second fatality. Search and rescue operations are ongoing. We are confident that we will locate all of the missing, as their number is not large. A few military personnel have sustained injuries, but the majority of the crew have been safe since yesterday", said Pletenchuk.

The host noted that enemy media reported that the ship had sunk, but Pletenchuk responded that he "cannot confirm this information at the moment".
