On the night of August 28, Russian aggressors launched an attack on the Ukrainian Railways park, resulting in a fire and damage to rolling stock.
This was reported by Ukrainian Railways via their Telegram channel.
Ukrainian Railways stated: "Last night, a targeted strike was carried out against civilian passenger rolling stock. The Intercity+ high-speed train park was among those affected. Thanks to the coordinated actions of railway workers, the fire was extinguished. One train was significantly damaged".
Details: The company noted that employees were in shelters, so no one was injured.
"We are doing everything possible to ensure that the maximum number of trains are operational. No services will be canceled: we are deploying substitute rolling stock. We will inform about any delays as the damaged infrastructure is being restored," the railway company emphasized.
They also reminded that due to damage to the railway hub in Kozyatin, several trains are currently following altered routes.
