The air defense forces of Ukraine successfully neutralized 74 out of 95 drones utilized by Russian invaders in their assault on Ukraine on the evening of August 26.

Starting at 20:30 on Tuesday, August 26, the Russian forces launched an assault using 95 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones from various directions, including Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chao (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The air attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.

As of 09:00 on Wednesday, August 27, preliminary data indicates that air defense destroyed 74 Shahed-type drones and imitation drones throughout northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Hits were registered for 21 drones at nine different locations.
