In the night of August 24, Ukrainian defense forces successfully destroyed 48 Russian drones in the skies over the country, with several enemy drone and ballistic missile hits recorded at ten different locations.

This was reported by the Air Forces of Ukraine via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

According to military sources, from 10 PM on Saturday, August 23, Russian forces launched one ballistic missile "Iskander-M" and 72 drones, including strike drones of the Shahed type and imitators.

The missile was launched from the area of the Russian city of Taganrog, while the drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.

As of 8:30 AM on Sunday, August 24, the air defense system managed to shoot down 48 Russian drones of the Shahed type and imitators in the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the country.

Missile hits and 24 enemy drones were also recorded at ten different locations.
