On the night of August 20, Russian forces launched an assault using two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 93 strike UAVs of the Shahed type along with various imitation drones.

This information was reported by the Air Force Command via Telegram.

As of 9:00 AM, air defense forces managed to intercept one Iskander-M ballistic missile and down 62 enemy Shahed UAVs and imitation drones targeting the northern and eastern regions of the country. Strikes from enemy missiles and drones were recorded in 20 locations. The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the defense forces.
