On the night of August 19, Russian forces carried out a massive strike on the Poltava region. There are reports of hits and debris falling in two districts, leaving over 1,500 subscribers without electricity.
This was reported by the head of the OVA, Volodymyr Kohut, on Telegram.
"Tonight, the enemy launched a large-scale attack on Poltava. Hits and falling debris were recorded in the Kremenchuk and Lubny districts. Administrative buildings of local energy companies were affected," the regional head noted.
According to Kohut, there were no casualties, but in the Lubny district, 1,471 residential and 119 business subscribers were left without power due to the attack.
"Emergency services and energy sector workers are actively working to address the aftermath of the attack," the OVA head concluded.
