The air defense forces managed to neutralize 61 out of 85 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine starting the evening of August 15.

According to the report, at 19:30 on Friday, August 15, the Russians launched a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" and 85 strike drones of the Shahed type, along with various types of imitation drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (RF), and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).
The attacks targeted frontline areas in the Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
The air assault was repelled by electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, along with mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 08:00 on Saturday, August 16, air defense had shot down or suppressed 61 drones in the northern and eastern parts of Ukraine.
Additionally, Russian forces carried out 431 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region within one day, resulting in injuries.
Missile strikes and 24 drones were recorded at 12 locations.
