Tragic Consequences of Shelling in Kherson Region

A tragedy in the Kherson region: Russian shelling resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.

As a result of Russian shelling in the Kherson region, seven people have died, nine have been injured, and over 100 residential buildings have been damaged.

The Russian army continues to exert fire pressure, targeting residential areas, civilian infrastructure, and emergency service workers engaged in rescue operations. Over the past day, occupying forces heavily shelled the Kherson and Beryslav regions using artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems, aviation, and drones. There have been numerous casualties among civilians and law enforcement officers.

The towns affected by the shelling include Kherson, Antonivka, Kizomys, Sadove, Chornobayivka, Komyshany, Stepanivka, and others.

Russian strikes damaged 122 facilities, including 109 private homes, agricultural infrastructure, six civilian vehicles, a police service vehicle, an ambulance, a store, a utility building, and a gas pipeline.

In the morning, the Russian army launched a massive shelling of the village of Chornobayivka near Kherson, which also affected Stepanivka. A total of 74 private homes, agricultural infrastructure, a store, five vehicles, a gas pipeline, and a tractor were damaged. Fires broke out due to the shelling. A 61-year-old woman was killed by a direct hit to her home, and her body was recovered from the rubble. Five others were injured, including a 78-year-old man and women aged between 39 and 80 who sustained blast and head injuries.

From multiple launch rocket systems, the Russian army also shelled Komyshany, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old man and injuries to a 64-year-old woman, who was hospitalized with blast injuries, gunshot wounds, and an open leg fracture. In the village, 29 private homes and a vehicle were damaged.

In Novoraysk, Russian military forces attacked an ambulance with an FPV drone, resulting in damage to the vehicle.
