Latvia intends to send 42 new Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine in 2025.
According to LSM.lv, most of these vehicles will be new, as stated by the Latvian Ministry of Defense.
Transfer of 42 Patria APCs to Ukraine
These armored vehicles are manufactured by SIA Defence Partnership Latvia.
“We will continue to support Ukraine. In previous years, we were able to provide assistance from our reserves, but this year we realize the need for investment in funding and procurement of weapons for Ukraine,” stated Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds.
Last year, Latvia provided military assistance to Ukraine worth approximately 100 million euros. A similar level of support is planned for 2025 and 2026.

The vehicle was initially developed in 6×6, 8×8, and 10×10 configurations, although the 10×10 version was later discarded.
