In Kyiv, recovery operations continue following yesterday's devastating attack. All search and rescue operations have concluded, as reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Currently, there are reports of 31 fatalities, including five children, the youngest being just two years old. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased. A total of 159 individuals have been injured, among them 16 children.

President Zelensky emphasized that such a heinous act by Russia necessitates increased pressure and sanctions.

“Regardless of the Kremlin's denial, sanctions are effective, and they must be strengthened to prevent further attacks. It is crucial for the international community to remain vigilant. I thank everyone who supports Ukraine. We appreciate the backing from President Trump, European leaders, and other partners who recognize the situation and condemn Russia’s actions.

In July alone, Russian forces deployed over 5,100 guided air bombs, more than 3,800 drones, and nearly 260 missiles of various types. Stopping this can only be achieved through collective efforts: America, Europe, and other global players must unite. Every interaction matters, and every day counts. Thank you to everyone helping Ukraine,” Zelensky stated, expressing condolences to the families.

The city is assisting those who have lost their property. Since the beginning of payments, 1,045 applications for receiving 10,000 hryvnias have been submitted, a support measure initiated by Kyiv in 2022. Additionally, 37 individuals, whose homes were destroyed or heavily damaged, have applied for a one-time payment of 40,000 hryvnias for housing rent for two months. After that, they will receive 20,000 hryvnias monthly while the city works on restoring their homes.
