Since the beginning of this year, fires caused by enemy shelling in the Zaporizhia region have destroyed nearly 700 hectares of crops.

This information was shared by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, on his Telegram channel.

“In 2025, as a result of armed aggression from the Russian Federation, 27 agricultural enterprises were affected. More than 55 buildings and over 155 units of agricultural machinery were destroyed or damaged. Almost 700 hectares of crops have burned,” he reported.

“Despite these losses, the 2025 harvesting campaign is already in its final stages - more than 240 thousand tons of grain have been harvested,” Fedorov added.

“Thanks to the dedicated work of farmers, who carry out their tasks daily with dignity and love for their homeland, the region will be self-sufficient in bread and grain,” he emphasized in Telegram.
