This morning, Russian forces targeted residential areas in Kherson. A shell hit an apartment on the fifth floor, but fortunately, no one was injured.

Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, reported this on Facebook, sharing a video of the aftermath.

«At around 10:00 AM, Russian terrorists struck the central districts of Kherson. An enemy shell hit an apartment on the fifth floor. Luckily, no one was harmed», - wrote Shanko.

In the video, elderly residents of Kherson recount the terrifying noise and mention hearing two «strikes».

The head of the military administration added that social workers have already visited the site of the morning shelling, talked with residents, and provided necessary assistance. Plans are in place to address the aftermath – broken windows in accessible apartments will be boarded up with OSB sheets by the municipal enterprise «Parks of Kherson».

Later, the regional military administration clarified that around 10:00 AM, Russian military shelled Kherson with artillery, resulting in a 33-year-old man sustaining blast injuries.

"The injured man sought medical help on his own and is currently receiving necessary treatment", - the statement reads.
