Since the evening of July 20, Ukrainian air defense forces have successfully repelled multiple attacks from Russian troops, which included 24 missiles and 426 Shahed-type drones. All enemy missiles were intercepted.
This information was shared by the Ukrainian Air Forces on Telegram.
According to the Air Forces: "As of 9:30, 224 enemy aerial targets have been destroyed: 200 Shahed drones; the majority of missiles were intercepted by air defense systems, while the rest were suppressed by electronic warfare or lost location (no impact information is available)".
Additionally, it was reported that 203 mimic drones did not reach their targets due to location loss (likely suppressed by electronic warfare).
"23 strikes by drones have been recorded in 3 locations, as well as the crash of shot down drones in 12 locations," the Air Forces noted.
Specifically, the occupiers launched against Ukraine:
5 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles (from the airspace of Tambov region, RF);
4 Caliber cruise missiles (from the Black Sea);
1 Iskander-K cruise missile (from the vicinity of Millerovo, RF);
14 X-101 cruise missiles (from the airspace of Saratov region, Russia).
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
The Air Forces emphasize that the attack continues – as of 9:30, a new group of Russian drones has entered from the north.
