The capital of Ukraine is launching a new initiative to enhance security - a drone interception system named "Clear Sky" aimed at protecting the city from Russian attacks.

This information was shared by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), Timur Tkachenko.

How the "Clear Sky" system will protect Kyiv

According to him, the city is securing additional funding for the large-scale "Clear Sky" project, which includes protecting the airspace using domestic interceptor drones. A budget of 260 million UAH has been allocated to create an effective threat response system.

In particular, a training center for operators will be established - a specialized structure where specialists will be trained in managing interceptor drones. Additional mobile units will also be formed to monitor areas in Kyiv and its outskirts.

It is noted that the "Clear Sky" system will operate in close coordination with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Air Forces, and other components of the Defense Forces.

"In just a few months of pilot operation, the "Clear Sky" project in Kyiv region has already demonstrated its effectiveness - nearly 550 enemy UAVs have been intercepted," emphasized Timur Tkachenko.

The full launch of the system aims to significantly strengthen Kyiv's defense against ongoing attacks by Russian drones.
