The enemy struck the transmission line connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with the unified energy system of Ukraine, causing a blackout at the plant.

This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko.

“This line is crucial for maintaining radiation safety levels,” he noted.

He reminded that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Zaporizhzhia NPP has experienced a total blackout eight times and has repeatedly been on the verge of blackout.
