Due to a nighttime Russian attack on Kyiv, six people have lost their lives and another 19 have been injured.
Sources: State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko, and Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service Svitlana Vodolaha during the national news marathon.
According to Klymenko, there are casualties and injuries as a result of the combined Russian shelling.
At 7:27 AM, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the death toll had risen to five.
"Currently, five people have died in a building in the Shevchenkivskyi district due to the enemy's attack on the capital. A total of 19 people have been affected in the city, with eight of them in city hospital wards," Klitschko wrote.
At 8:32 AM, the State Emergency Service reported that the death toll rose to six.
"Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing at two locations. A total of 312 rescuers and 74 units of equipment are involved. Information is being updated," the service noted.
The affected areas include Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts.
"Efforts to mitigate the consequences of the night strike continue, and all services are working. Information is being clarified," the State Emergency Service reported.
