As a result of recent repatriation efforts, the bodies of 1200 fallen individuals have been returned to Ukraine.

According to Russian sources, these bodies belong to Ukrainian servicemen and civilians. The repatriation took place in accordance with agreements made in Istanbul.

The successful return was made possible through the collaboration of various agencies, including the Coordination Headquarters on POWs and other security bodies.

Law enforcement officials, together with forensic experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct all necessary tests and identifications of the repatriated bodies.
