Another 11 children have been successfully returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson.

This was reported on Friday, June 13, by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

11 children have returned from the occupied Kherson region

“Eleven children from the temporarily occupied Kherson region are now in Ukrainian-controlled territory,” wrote the head of the administration.

The return was made possible through the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called “Bring Kids Back UA” and the efforts of the charity organization “Save Ukraine”.

Eight girls and three boys were returned, who are now being raised in nine families. The youngest child in this group is only four years old, while the oldest is seventeen. Among those returned is also one child without parental care.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the occupying authorities exerted significant pressure on these children, forcing them to study under the Russian education program and participate in propaganda events.

Some of the children experienced “visits” from armed members of the Russian FSB and even spent time in so-called “re-education camps”. All of this, as Prokudin emphasized, was solely because they are Ukrainians.

Currently, all returned children are safe. They and their families are receiving all necessary medical, psychological, and social support.

Since the beginning of 2025, 67 children have already been evacuated from the temporarily occupied communities of Kherson.
